Samsung Display nixes request for injunction on LG Display
Samsung Display has withdrawn its request for an injunction on rival LG Display over OLED technology, Yonhap News reports. The two companies are involved in a technology dispute since eleven people affiliated with Samsung were indicted on charges of leaking core technology to LG. Samsung filed for an injunction in September last year seeking to ban the use of eighteen OLED technologies and related information, which evolved in a further dispute over LCD technologies as well. However, Samsung has now cancelled the request for an injunction, raising hopes of a settlement between the two companies.
