Samsung expands robot technology to cars, IoT business

Samsung Group plans to expand its presence in the robotics business converged with artificial intelligence (AI). In particular, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, the group's electronic parts supplying arm, is expanding robot-related applications to additional sectors, The Korea Times reports, citing an unnamed company representative. "We are expanding robot applications from traditional sectors ― including camera modules and circuit boards for various IT devices ― into cars and the Internet of Things (IoT)", the company official said.
