Samsung extends Knox security to consumers

Samsung Electronics announced that its Knox programme for device security is now available for consumers. Launched earlier this year for businesses using Samsung Galaxy mobile devices, Knox offers a range of security features to protect the hardware, applications and personal data on a device. Samsung Knox implements a concept called "container" that is a separate, secure execution environment for a set of pre-screened applications to run and store data. Applications running outside the container have only limited access to the data stored inside the container where security is enforced by
