Samsung introduces cloud-based gaming platform
Samsung Electronics has introduced its cloud-based gaming service 'Samsung Cloud Gaming'. Samsung Cloud Gaming, developed in collaboration with cloud-based video game platform provider Gaikai, will stream video games directly to owners of 2012 Samsung LED 7000 series and Smart TVs in the US. Samsung Cloud Gaming gives Smart TV users access to video games. Samsung will soon begin accepting sign-ups for the beta test of its Cloud Gaming service on Smart TVs in the United States. Limelight to receive USD 11 mln for Gaikai stake

Content delivery services specialist Limelight Networks announced that it will receive proceeds in excess of USD 11 million from selling its stake in Gaikai, a cloud-based gaming company. In May 2010, Limelight made an investment in Gaikai, and Sony has now agreed to acquire the entire company for USD 380 million.
