Samsung loses bid to suspend US ban on Galaxy Tab
Samsung Electronics lost its bid to put on hold a court order barring sales of its Galaxy 10.1 tablet in the US until an appeals court rules on the matter. US District Judge Lucy Koh on 02 July rejected Samsung's request to stay her 26 June order while the company pursues an appeal, Bloomberg reports. The judge noted that Samsung itself conceded that the injunction would cause it only minimal harm, as it has other, similar products on the market. However, a stay could cause "further irreparable harm" to Apple, which brought the original request for a ban pending a ruling on its patent infringement claims against Samsung's tablet. That case is scheduled to go to trial 30 July in California.
