Samsung prevails in Dutch consumer case over lack of smartphone updates

Wednesday 30 May 2018 | 17:03 CET | News
A court in the Hague has rejected the Consumentenbond's claims against Samsung regarding handset updates. The suit was put forward by the Dutch consumer organisation in November 2016, claiming Samsung failed to regularly update Android smartphones. The court started hearing the case on 26 March. The court ruled the grounds and claims of the consumer organisation were inadmissible and rejected all of the organisation's claims. The Consumentenbond has been ordered to bear Samsung's legal costs for this case.
