Samsung releases battery patch for Note 7s

Thursday 27 October 2016 | 11:47 CET | News
Samsung has introduced a software update to its controversial Galaxy Note 7 products in Europe that limit the phone's maximum battery life. A recall of the Note 7 was issued after reports that the battery pack in some handsets had overheated and exploded. The latest software update would prevent the Note 7 battery from charging to higher than 60 percent capacity. In its release, Samsung noted that one-third of Note 7 customers in Europe had not yet returned their device for a refund and that the software patch was an effort to address customer safety.

Is there a way to block this update. I wont return my phone for another month. I will take the .00001% risk for a month. 60% is rediculous
