Samsung sells shares in ASML

Samsung Electronics is selling half its stake in ASML, the maker of lithography machines for producing semiconductors. Samsung is selling 6.3 million shares for over EUR 600 million. Samsung, along with TSMC and Intel, invested in ASML in 2012 as part of efforts to support R&D at their supplier. It was not clear why the company is now selling part of its shares.
