Samsung Electronics is in the final stage of talks with Google to launch a television next year using Google software. Yoon Boo-Keun, president of Samsung's visual display division, said however that the new TV won't be unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January, the Wall Street Journal reports. LG Electronics is planning to introduce its own version of Google TV in January at the CES show, a person familiar with the situation told Dow Jones earlier this month. Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt visited Seoul earlier this month and met high-profile executives from Samsung and LG. To date only Sony has deployed the Google TV software on TVs. A Google spokesman declined to comment.
