Samsung to launch payments service 20 August in Korea

Samsung announced that its mobile payments service will launch first in Korea on 20 August and then in the US on 28 September. Samsung said it plans to roll out the service later in the UK, Spain and China, as well. The just announced Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 smartphones will be the first to come pre-installed with Samsung Pay. Samsung will also roll out a free software upgrade from mid-August to enable Samsung Pay on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in the US and Korea. Select customers with these four phones will be able to participate in a beta trial starting in the US 25 August. Samsung
