Samsung to open QLED TVs to other voice assistants

Monday 7 January 2019 | 09:46 CET | News
Samsung said it will be opening up upcoming QLED TVs to other voice assistants than its own Bixby, the Verge reported. This means users will be able to use either Amazon's Alexa or Google's Assistant, though only if they have the assistant Echo, Google Home or other smart speaker device. Samsung's TVs will understand and execute commands received from Alexa or Assistant, but the only built-on voice helper will remain Bixby.
