Samsung to supply 70 mln OLED panels for iPhone 8 - report

Apple has ordered 70 million bendable OLED panels from Samsung Electronics for the next iPhone. The OLED panels will be used in Apple's new flagship smartphone, tentatively named 'iPhone 8', which is scheduled for launch in the second half of this year, the Nikkei Asian Review reports, without citing sources. Samsung will provide Apple with up to 95 million panels. Samsung declined to comment on the matter, citing contract terms. "We cannot reveal any information about ongoing contracts with our clients", a Samsung official said.
