Samsung updates TV privacy policy following snooping fears

Samsung has rejected criticisms of the privacy policy covering its smart TVs after concerns were raised about the product line's voice recognition features, which let users control their television with voice commands. In a statement, the company said its smart TVs "do not monitor living room conversations" and that it and employs "industry-standard security safeguards and practices, including data encryption, to secure consumers' personal information and prevent unauthorised collection or use."
