Samsung vice chair will leave board but still lead company ahead of bribery retrial - report

Samsung vice chairman Lee Jae-Yong will not be extending his three-year term on the board after his directorship expires later this month, but he will continue to lead the company, Bloomberg reported, citing sources close to the matter. Lee, who faces a retrial for bribery charges, will leave the board on 26 October but continue as vice chairman. The board will however be central to overall management, the source said.
