Samsung's ChatON service hits 100 mln global users

Samsung Electronics has announced that its ChatON instant messaging service for mobile devices has reached a global subscriber base of over 100 million users. Launched in October 2011, the service hit the 50 million subscriber mark in May this year and doubled that number to 100 million four months later. Customers can access the ChatON service on PCs, Samsung feature phones, as well as on Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows Phone smartphones. ChatON's multi-screen support also allows users to sign-in on up to five different devices using one Samsung account ID.
