Satellite still most popular means to receive TV in Germany

The number of German households receiving television service by satellite increased by 130,000 to 17.72 million in 2017, making it once again the most popular means of receiving television service in the country, according to new research from Kantar TNS on behalf of Astra Deutschland. The number of cable TV households in Germany decreased by 180,000 to 16.39 million households, while the number of IPTV households saw the sharpest increase and grew by 300,000 to 2.64 million homes.
