Saudi Arabia sets up new authority for cyber security

The Saudi Arabian government has set up a new authority for cyber security as per a Royal Decree and named the Minister of State Musaed Al Aiban as its chairman, reports Saudi Press Agency. The National Authority for Cyber Security has been created to boost the cyber security of the state, and protect its vital interests, national security and sensitive infrastructure, stated the report, citing the decree. The authority will be directly linked to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
