The suspension of Whatsapp voice call and video call services in Saudi Arabia was the result of the app's failure to meet regulatory requirements, according to Al-Watan daily. The governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), Abdulaziz Bin Salem Al Ruwais, said once these requirements are met, the services will be available for all users. Al Ruwais added that users still have access to all other video call and voice call apps, according to Al-Watan newspaper.
