Schiphol to test new Wi-Fi, facial recognition services

Amsterdam airport Schiphol is planning to introduce a new Wi-Fi network for visitors with free access. The network is also expected to support digital signage in the airport, said Christiaan Hen, innovation manager at Schiphol NeXt, in an interview with the Telegraaf. The airport is currently assessing its needs and expects to start the first tests in mid-2017. At the same time it also expects to start testing facial recognition software in the airport.
