Senegal regulator tells Saga Africa Holdings and Sonatel to comply with MNP rules or face sanctions

Senegal's telecom authority ARTP has addressed formal requests to Saga Africa Holdings, which operates under the Free brand, and Sonatel, which trades as Orange, after finding the operators in breach of mobile number portability (MNP) regulation. An investigation into Free's processes uncovered evidence of misconduct such as unfair rejection of valid MNP requests, undue delays and fraudulent practices.
