Senegal's ARTP opens spectrum control centre in Kolda

Senegal's Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority (ARTP) announced the construction of a frequency control centre in the city of Kolda, capital of the eponymous region, located in the south of the country. Abdoul Ly, ARTP director general said the Kolda frequency control centre will cost nearly USD 1.7 million. It will facilitate control checks by the telecoms regulator, support efforts to decentralize its activities and lead to better management of problems related to quality of service and collection of royalties.
