SES chooses ULA to launch Boeing-built C-band satellites

Friday 7 August 2020 | 19:36 CET | News
SES said that the launch of two of its new C-band satellites will be carried out by US-based United Launch Alliance (ULA). The announcement, which coincides with a similar contract signed with SpaceX, is part of the operator's C-band clearing plan negotiated with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Under the agreement, ULA's Atlas V rocket will take off from Florida's Cape Canaveral in 2022, taking into orbit two all-electric Boeing-built satellites (SES-20 and SES-21).
