Set-top box shipments to reach over 253 mln in 2015 - study

Global set-top box (STB) shipments are expected to rise to 253.1 million in 2015 from 248.6 million the year before, buoyed by demand in emerging market such as China and India, according to a study from SNL Kagan. The global multichannel market swelled to an estimated 959 million subscribers.
