SFR and Orange France add Wi-Fi 6 boosters to broadband offering

French operators SFR and Orange have announced on the same day that their fixed broadband customers will be able to take advantage of improved Wi-Fi connectivity, as they both unveiled new versions of repeaters supporting the Wi-Fi 6 standard. Orange introduced a model that works as a router, as well as a booster, to enable customers to upgrade to Wi-Fi 6 while keeping their existing broadband equipment (Livebox 4/Livebox 5). Additional units can then be used to extend Wi-Fi connectivity within the home. For customers subscribing to a premium package (Open Up/Livebox Up), Orange is offering
