SFR backtracks on fibre strategy announced in July

Regis Turrini, General Secretary of SFR Group, revealed a change in the operator's fibre strategy announced in July, which targeted a deployment of FTTP services nationwide by 2025, without receiving any state aid. Speaking at an industry conference, Turrini acknowledged that the plan attracted opposition on several fronts and that the recent challenges facing Altice had prompted a rethink within the group.
