SFR complains to EC about Orange-Free roaming deal - report

French operator SFR filed a complaint with the European Commission at the end of November alleging that France Telecom-Orange gained "joint control" over new MNO Free Mobile by allowing it to roam over its network, reports Challenges. SFR contends that Orange France and Free have created a "solidary entity" under Orange's control whose size within the industry and economically could harm competition in the French telecom markets. SFR would not comment on the matter. Boryana Hristova, a case handler at the EC's competition commission, told the magazine she could not comment because the complaint was not official.
