Wednesday 27 May 2020 | 10:22 CET | News
French tax authorities have requested a payment of EUR 245 million in back taxes from Altice France's subsidiary SFR, according to information gathered by Capital. The bill for unpaid taxes reportedly refers to the 2016 financial year, and the authorities could be currently looking into the company's 2017 accounts. While details of the tax audit have not emerged, the items covered by the claim include the application of VAT rules, the use of tax credits and past deficits to reduce the tax bill, as well as several other specific taxes.
