SFR provides Covid-19 researchers with localisation data from mobile network

Monday 6 April 2020 | 12:42 CET | News
French operator SFR said that it has supplied aggregated and anonymised location data to two research teams to help them forecast the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic over time. The information shows the extent to which users connected via the SFR mobile network have travelled between the Ile de France region and other locations across the country during March. The forecast models are being developed by Inria, the French institute for research in computer science and automation, and by hospital trust AP-HP (Assistance Publique des Hopitaux de Paris).
