SFR rebrands, upgrades Red service plans

French operator SFR has launched new personalised service plans under its refreshed Red by SFR brand, whose logo is now green. The new plans are aimed at Red’s client base of young, urban, ultra-connected consumers who are on a tight budget and want to choose and enjoy digital content at the highest speeds possible.

The new LTE plans with higher data allowances are designed to be simple and, as with all Red Sim-only tariffs, come with no contract tie-in period. They offer a choice of options such as a travel version to roam like home in Europe and Overseas French Territories (OFTs) 15 days a year, a data rollover option to become available soon, access to the Zive VoD catalogue of over 6,000 titles, and unlimited SMS to and from Europe/OFTs.

The new Red plans start at EUR 5.99 a month for 3 hours of calls, unlimited SMS/MMS and 50 MB of LTE data. There is a EUR 9.99 plan with unlimited calls and SMS/MMS and 50 MB of data, and three others: EUR 12.99 for 500 MB, EUR 19.99 for 5 GB and EUR 25.99 a month for 15 GB. Red fibre and DSL customers receive a EUR 4.99 a month discount on their mobile plan.

As a launch promotion, the top tier plan is available for EUR 15 a month to the first 100,000 new customers, who can also benefit from the discount it they sign up for broadband.
