SFR secures contract to deploy and manage public-initiative network in Pyrenees-Atlantiques

Friday 8 February 2019 | 14:35 CET | News
Altice France announced that its division SFR Collectivites has been awarded a contract to roll out and operate a public initiative network (known as RIP, Reseaux d'Initiative Publique) in the French department of Pyrenees-Atlantiques. Under the 'THD64' project, the deployment phase will be completed in five years, between 2019 and 2023, bringing FTTH connectivity to nearly 226,500 premises in under-served areas. Local authorities have committed public funds worth EUR 45.2 million to the project, while SFR's overall investment over the 25-year concession is expected to reach EUR 377 million.
