SFR starts offering premium STB and router for EUR 5 monthly rental

French operator SFR announced the availability of its new 4K-compatible set-top box (STB), which was first unveiled on 19 July. As expected, the SFR Box 8 is marketed as an optional upgrade with FTTH/DSL plans for both new sign-ups and existing customers. The latter will be charged a one-fee of EUR 69 to change equipment. The premium TV box, coupled with its router, are priced EUR 5 per month with no minimum contract period, regardless of the fixed broadband package chosen by the customer.
