SFR takes Orange to court over share of fibre roll-out

Tuesday 16 May 2017 | 12:22 CET | News
SFR has started legal action against Orange over their previous deal which determined their respective fibre deployments in less densely populated areas, to avoid duplication in their network footprints. After this deal was signed in 2011, rival Numericable acquired SFR and the combined entity has tried to renegotiate the terms of the agreement with Orange for the last two years, demanding a bigger share of the areas earmarked for deployment. SFR has declined to comment on the news of its legal action, which was confirmed to the press by Orange.
