Sharp said net sales for its fiscal third quarter to end September advanced 25 percent year-on-year to JPY 714.2 billion. The operator profit jumped almost 58 percent to JPY 29.7 billion, while the net profit almost quadrupled to JPY 20.6 billion, from 4.2 billion the year before. Sharp attributed the strong results to its new management structure, noting that profits have grown over the past five quarters, ever since that structure came into play.
