Sharp has announced it will be returning to the US TV market in the second half of the year after agreeing a new partnership with Hisense. The company is aiming to soon come out with an 8K/4K TV with 5G and AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things). Sources told Japan Times that the TV sets would go on sale in the US in the fall, with plans to expand to Canada and Mexico. The company announced earlier its intention to release the sets in China in October, followed by launches in Japan, Taiwan and Europe. No terms were disclosed about the TV licensing deal with Hisense.
