Shaw returns to TV customer growth

Canadian operator Shaw Communications reported strong subscriber growth for its fiscal third quarter to May, with its first increase in TV subscribers since 2010. Shaw gained a net 38,000 revenue-generating units, compared to a loss of 47,000 in the year-earlier period. The company's total revenues rose 2.8 percent year-on-year to CAD 1.31 billion, while adjusted OIBDA fell 0.5 percent to CAD 550 million.
