Showmax, Vast offer zero-rated access to Showmax shows via hotspots

Tuesday 22 August 2017 | 09:02 CET | News
Internet TV company Showmax and Vast Networks, the open-access Wi-Fi provider owned by Dimension Data and Naspers, have reached an agreement to provide zero-rated access to the streaming content provider's shows and movies for a three-month period, reports Techcentral. The trial agreement involves 83 fixed WiFi hotspots around South Africa, mainly located in shopping malls and hospitals. Users will be able to stream or download up to 25 TV shows or movies, with the data used not contributing to their cap.
