Italy-based payment technology services provider SIA has announced the acquisition of 69 percent of UBIQ, a tech startup established in 2012 specialising in the field of promotions, where it operates under the T-Frutta brand. The T-Frutta app gives consumers cashback payments when they do their grocery shopping online and already has 35,000 active users just 7 months after launching. The service is currently available in Milan, Modena, Rome and Monza-Brianza, and will gradually be extended to the whole country by summer.
