Siemens, VW, SAP, Bosch set up quantum technology consortium Qutac

Ten German companies have established the Quantum Technology and Application Consortium (QUTAC). The consortium includes BASF, BMW, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bosch, Infineon, Merck, Munich Re, SAP, Siemens and Volkswagen. Qutac aims to develop applications for the chemical and pharmaceutical, insurance and automotive industries to market maturity. This in turn creates the basis for the use of quantum computing at industrial level in Germany and Europe.
