Silicon Graphics has opened the Reality Centre, a GBP2 mil R&D centre at its Theale, UK, site, for developing advanced graphics. The centre aims to help virtual engineering, animation and simulation companies to develop applications. Silicon Graphics equipment is used to produce audio and video material, which in turn generates virtual worlds.
