Siminn tests mobile transmitter run on green energy

Icelandic telecommunications company Siminn said it is tying up with University of Iceland (Haskoli Islands), Innovation Center Iceland and BMJ Energy to develop sustainable mobile phone service in Basum. The aim is to significantly reduce the fuel oil use in remote locations. The project was to be presented at the Arctic Circle Conference from 13 to 15 October in Harpa.
