Simpel splits from T-Mobile in management buy-out

The virtual operator Simpel is splitting from T-Mobile via a management buy-out. The MVNO started in 2007 and was acquired by T-Mobile Netherlands in 2010. Simpel maintained its own management and structure within T-Mobile, and the managers have found financial backers to help buy out the company. No financial details of the deal were disclosed. Simpel will continue as a MVNO on the T-Mobile network and using Aspider as MVNE. Active in the competitive no-frills segment of the market, its Sim-only offers start at EUR 2.50 per month.
