Sinch buys SaaS messaging platform MessengerPeople for EUR 48 mln

Sinch, a Swedish supplier of mobile customer engagement software, has acquired German software-as-as-service platform for conversational messaging MessengerPeople for EUR 48 million. The company is paying EUR 33.6 million in cash and EUR 14.4 million in the form of newly issued shares. The company expects to finalise the transaction in Q4 this year. Sinch is acquiring MessengerPeople to find synergies by adding its API-based offering for larger enterprises and channel partners.
