Singapore prepay SIM cards to support only 3G, 4G services

Singapore operators M1, Singtel and StarHub have jointly announced that, starting 15 November, newly-issued prepaid SIM cards in Singapore will not support 2G handsets. The measure is designed to ensure mobile users migrate in time for the closure of 2G networks next April.
