Singapore's 4G base surpasses 2 mln

Singapore ended December 2013 with 8.42 million mobile subscribers, up from 8.39 million in November, according to regulator IDA. The number of 2G postpaid subscriptions fell to 117,800 from 121,600 while 2G prepaid connections slipped to 993,700 from 1.06 million a month earlier. The 3G postpaid base also fell to 2.39 million from 2.53 million but the 3G prepaid base grew to 2.86 million from 2.83 million in November. The 4G base (postpaid and prepaid) rose to 2.05 million from 1.88 million. The number of ported subscriptions was up at 9,800 versus 9,700 and the mobile population penetration
