Singtel, Ericsson commercially launch NB-IoT network in Singapore

Singapore operator Singtel in partnership with Ericsson have launched a commercially available nationwide cellular Internet of Things (IoT) network. Supporting CAT-M1 and NB-IoT devices, Singtel's IoT network is designed to allow businesses to benefit from applications with low-power consumption that help prolong the devices' battery life and provide deeper wireless coverage and multiple connections, Singtel said. The Singapore operator also plans to use its cyber security expertise to support enterprises in implementing secure IoT services.
