SingTel, Huawei to launch 5G Joint Innoviation Program

Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) and Huawei will launch an initiative dubbed '5G Joint Innovation Program'. The project will serve as a research hub for the advancement of 5G mobile broadband technologies. SingTel and Huawei will also set up a team to conduct a 5G trial for SingTel customers. At the 2014 Global Mobile Broadband Forum (MBB Forum) in Shanghai, Huawei has also introduced a 128TRX Massive MIMO prototype. By providing higher resolution in angular domain, it supports 3D user location distribution, to improve spectrum efficiency and system capacity. The Sparse Code Multiple
