SingTel launches 150 Mbps mobile broadband service
Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has introduced an LTE broadband service that offers mobile internet at speeds of up to 150 Mbps. The service is offered at outdoor locations across Singapore as well as several indoor locations. The operator said it is working with building owners to expend the 150 Mbps service to more buildings. The Mobile Broadband 150 service will be offered with a mobile Wi-Fi modem from 11 May and a USB dongle modem from 18 May. The plan is priced at SGD 59.90 per month and comes with 5 GB of data, with out-of-bundle data priced at SGD 5.35 per GB, capped at SGD 94 per month.

SingTel Singapore's Q4 profit falls 7.4%

In its home market of Singapore, Singtel recorded a fourth quarter net profit of SGD 271 million, down 7.4 percent from SGD 293 million a year earlier due to investments in digital businesses and higher depreciation charges. Excluding the exceptional and one-off items, underlying net profit decreased 5.3 percent to SGD 282 million but would have increased 1.9 percent if further excluding the digital businesses. SingTel Group Q4 profit tumbles on Warid Pakistan sale

Net profit for SingTel Group fell 33 percent to SGD 868 million in the fourth quarter ended 31 March, due to a one-time loss of SGD 225 million from the divestment of Warid Pakistan. SingTel expands LTE network nationwide

Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has expanded its LTE mobile network to offer nationwide coverage with speeds of up to 150 Mbps.
