Singtel mulls sale of Optus towers, hires BofA for transaction - report

Singtel plans to sell the telecommunications towers owned by its Australian subsidiary Optus. These assets are estimated to be worth more than AUD 2 billion. Singtel has hired Bank of America (BofA) to sell its Australian mobile phone towers, and its bankers are already preparing the package for potential buyers, AFR reports. BofA is expected to target Australian and offshore infrastructure funds, which have acquired mobile phone towers globally in the past decade.
