SingTel urges Optus to regain market share

Singapore operator SingTel said that it is critical for its fully-owned Australian subsidiary Optus to regain market share, ZDNet reports. In the twelve months between March 2013 and March 2014, Optus' mobile base decreased by 160,000 subscribers, according to the report. In a move to reverse this trend, the operator has recently launched new data sharing plans, and SIM-only plans. Optus said that it expects its 4G network to cover 90 percent of the country's metropolitan locations by March 2015. By the end of the first quarter, Optus's 4G network reached 75 percent of the metropolitan
