Singtel's quarterly operating revenue grows nearly 9% on higher equipment sales

Singtel Group saw its operating revenue grow by 8.9 percent in its third quarter ended 31 December 2020 from the previous quarter. This growth was mainly boosted by the gradual resumption of economic activities in Singapore and Australia. Operating revenue was driven mainly by higher equipment sales revenue on festive promotions and strong demand for popular premium handsets, but was partially offset by lower NBN migration revenue due to the near completion of the NBN rollout, the company said.
